What I'd like to know is why it's classed as a 325 when the cc is 2993.

If they still do the 330d then it seems silly to have 1 marked as such and 1 marked as a 2.5litre.

I think they've been putting the wrong size engines in their cars ( or badging them incorrectly & vice-versa) for some time now.

    Thanks to doughboy

BMW have been detuning cars for years now so the engine size on the badge doesn't always match up to what's physically in it.

Late E46 316's had same engine as 318's (both actually 1.9).

Merc been doing this kind of stuff for a while as well - e.g. W203 C180K, C200K and C230K all have 1.8 supercharged engine.

...at least Beemer drivers tend to drive progressively (get from that what you will) unlike the vast majority of cockwombles that hog lane 2 at 60mph or move into the offside lane of a dual carriageway for absolutely no fucking reason only to indicate left at the last minute to turn left. Seriously.. BMW drivers are not the problem, it's most other fucking cunts on the roads that wish they had a BMW. Ps I don't drive a BMW (or Audi)

...oh and the myth that only BMW and Audi drivers don't signal is bollocks.... you should try the Fiveways roundabout in Childwall, Liverpool. Doesn't matter what the manufacturer of the car, a signal is a fucking miracle

I call Micras "Bingo Buckets"... mostly down to the amount of them you see in carparks near Bingo halls. Those and Ford KA's are a fucking nightmare.
