Thanks, but couldn't get it to work on my shitty Samsung J3.

Shows 1% when downloading maps, then pauses itself, saying it will continue when connected to a network. Which is is already.

I installed legit verion first, then uninstalled it after starting and getting to the map selection menu page.

I had the stuck at 1% problem with i think it was map 1.15, but the patched 1.16 version in the first post of this thread worked for me.

I tried the 1.16 one first & when the maps wouldn't move past 1% i suspected they had moved the server address. Having tried to update to 1.17 it seems they have found a way to prevent the download of the maps on modded versions.
I have saved the maps & reinstalled the hack version, but even with th maps present, it wont get past "download maps"
Looks like were going to have to wait until DeltaFox knocks out an update

So we are waiting for someone to knock one out? Lol

No dramas. So neither version posted will work now? Maybe close the thread with a note in the OP saying ‘to be updated’ or something.

I could really do with a way of having the map(s) on SD card as well tbh.

If only there was a way to remove the new map available nag screen on a working version.

That's the only reason i ever need to update mine to get rid of that because i'm not that fussed about having a 100% correct map as long as it's working.

Maybe @Russ can help, though he's not been here since June.

Woohoo.. now sorted. Follow this tutorial & the maps download first time.

1> Remove any versions of tomtom using Android App Manager & restart the phone
2> Install TomTom v1.17 from Playstore,
    3. Run TomTom until you get to the map download page. Do not download any maps. Close TomTom.
    4. Using your PC, navigate to the internal storage & save the file com.tomtom.gplay.navapp which is located in the folder /Android/OBB/ & save it.
    5. Uninstall TomTom, using App manger & restart phone.
    6. Install the patched version v1.17 but don’t open it yet. Link> [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    7. Copy the folder com.tomtom.gplay.navapp that you saved back to internal storage in / Android/OBB.
    8. Run TomTom and download required maps.

Tested & working. Thanks fook for that

Same here but using the inbuilt file manager it's there but wont show up when connected to a PC.
So I used the inbuilt File Manager to move it back one folder then carried on.

I haven't tried to D/L the map yet as it wont finish be for I leave for home.

I’ll give this a whirl in a bit when I get in. So there’s no way to stick the map file/folder on the sd card?

I hacked the iOS version, so I will check the files and see if I can change paths, add custom POI (cams) and voices etc.

Common Android issue (unrelated to TT).

Need to go to Settings, Apps, Show System, then force stop External Storage then clear data/cache, and then force stop Media Storage and clear data/cache.

Now reboot device, wait a few mins and it should be sorted.

The file is visible for me on the PC, however i am a Linux user. If all else fails, you can always write Linux Mint to a USB stick & boot on it & do it that way.

1.17.1 - Seems ok but haven't tested camera alerts yet.

For fresh device, same install method as before.

To update from 1.17, just install this without doing anything else.

Got this installed this morning and will test it - Map downloaded perfectly.
Going to Yorkshire from Essex. I'll see if it alerts on all Speed Cameras.

I don't think the app GO is available any more, at least i couldn't find it the other day when i wanted to install it on a new device.

I'm just testing a new app called Sygic which allows you to download TomTom maps plus others, onto Android and IOS.
Will post back when i finish testing it.

EDIT i have managed to get Sygic working, if anyone is interested in trying it, i will start a new thread.
