I'm sure there is something about (not) parking on double yellows, within a certain distance from a junction, and at traffic lights. Delivering or having delivered should not be used as an excuse... When he set off, luckily I saw him moving in his wing mirror which gave me some warning that he was going to go (he was parked with hazards on as I passed his rear end) but I nearly missed it as I was checking my right hand mirror and rear view mirror in the process. No harm done and no drama, just sharing...

Was travelling to Swansea when this idiot in front of me jumps the red light by swerving into another lane to pass three cars in front that have stopped at the red light, causing a lorry in the other lane to brake sharply. Dash cam date and time are incorrect. Happened on 3rd July 2019 at approximately 12:15 am

Often see someone carry on through just as the light changed to red, but this driver was really taking the piss. If the car entering the roundabout had been a bit quicker off the mark it could have ended in a serious collision. I bet the truck driver's heart skipped a beat. Idiot souldn't have a licence... assuming he has one in the first place.

I don't have my radio on loud, so I heard the sirens, glanced behind and saw the blues.

Over the bridge and I knew he'd be on me soon (kept checking behind) so I gave the room to make it through the red lights ahead of me.

Then an ambulance approached at the next set of lights, and this part of the clip shows just how differently people react to approaching blues and twos...

The left turn traffic seemed to have issues just ahead of me, and knowing there is a traffic camera opposite (but not sure which traffic triggers it) and with just noticing the lights going amber beside me as I got to the white line (other traffic light over the junction was obscured) I stayed put.

Because the ambulance stopped and wasn't indicating to turn right, both me and the van behind me had time to go through when we got greens again, and the ambulance eventually drove straight on.

Still testing the new A129 Pro Duo dashcam. After a few firmware updates it's getting close to a retail quality release.

Not a lot of dodgy incidents but little things like the one below:

    Spoiler:

Here again is the unboxing video for this new cam which is available for pre-order now from Viofo's website.

    Spoiler:

    Paul.

    Does it do 60fps?

Also, need to see it at around 30mph through tree lined roads to see how much the bitrate drops. Also some night footage

I have a Street Guardian which is bloody brilliant but thinking of getting the other half a new one for her car so would be interested to see how this one does on roads with lots of vegetation and also some night time footage in the city center and on darker lanes.

    What's the expected price too?

It cannot do 60fps in 4K, but it can if your reduce the resolution, but that defeats the object of having 4K.

Front is native 4k, rear 1080p

    Night videos:

Pre-orders being taken now via the Viofo website.

Price is $249, just over 200.

Novatek are still working on improvements on their SDK, so firmware updates will be released as and when available going forward.

I used the VIOFO A19 single camera, it was very good, I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Not a deal breaker, but i find the 5M cables running to the rear camera is never long enough. By the time you've gone under the dash and around the trims and back up to the C pillar etc.

No indication on local police pages, so you're guess is as good as mine... I think, though I don't know this could be an arrest, though it may be an accident... (Nothing graphic can be seen).

Recorded on the forthcoming (in testing atm) A129 Pro in 4K.

No drama, but I'd like to think my brakes and perception are better than this example... Recorded in 4K

Paul, those are the kind of fucking absolute KNOBS I hate when out cycling. Over-shooting junctions, stop lines, give ways etc. Not to mention the breed of walking offal that I refer to as 'nudgers' Those are the ones that stop at junctions and then slowly nudge the front of their car out. This is all very well but a cyclist that is keeping as far left as possible because some knob is trying to pass them 3" away is at serious risk from the dickheads that nudge the nose of the car out.

This is why when I approach junctions or in areas where cars are parked up at the side, I'll "take the lane" and cycle directly down the center of the lane and fuck those behind me

Normally, I'm back at the side within 30 yards or so.

    Thanks to dpSparhawk
