I bought an amiga 1200 off of someone but the caps blew in it and at the time I could not do the tiny surface mount stuff. I bought a brand new keyboard and brand new case for that too

Loved the Dreamcast - Shenmue, Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Virtua Tennis were just some of my faves on that machine. I think Disc Juggler was permanently loaded on my PC in those days....

Did anyone ever have the 'limited edition' curved keyboard* Amiga? Pretty sure my Atari ST and Spectrum 128k+2 before it had similar keyboards.

Ahh, we haven't even got onto 16-bit stuff yet - another chapter altogether!

Did you start with an ST or did you have any 8-bit stuff?

Started with a ZX80/81, Commodore VIC20 then Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Oric atmos, Atari 400/800/1200XL/520ST/1040ST/MegaST, Amiga 500/1200, plus a few others i've forgotten about.

I remember upgrading the hard drive on my 1200 and it was to big to close after, so just used it with the top resting on the bottom lol.

Still got my Oric somewhere and 1 game, chess.

Yep, similar here - Atari 520STFM + Amiga 500 (used the philips still from the 8-bit stuff).

There was a game I loved on the ST and I can't think of it, hang on....(Googling...)

    Ahh, here it is:

Typhoon Thompson in search of the Sea Child

So many happy memories of old games gone by...

I'd love another Amiga. I had a 500, then a 4000 and a 600 then a 1200. The 600 felt a bit like a toy though imo. The 4000 was a BEAST. Had a Cortex 8mb upgrade in it and used it for graphics work mainly but the The 1200 destroyed that with my 68882 co-pro and RAM expansion in it and 120mb hard drive.

Such a shame they didn't carry on. There are some nice bits on Amigakit http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/...P&currency=GBP if anyone wants to upgrade the Amiga

I got a cable to convert the internal mini IDE connector to a full size one. Cable went out of the 1200 and was connected to a 3.5" 20Mb drive on the table.bthe drive was so old, it was twice the height of a regular 3.5" HAD at the time but I still felt like the pimp as none of my mates had HD's on their Amigas

Did anyone else get this bit of hardware for the C64.. you plugged it into where you would plug the Cassette drive and it enabled you to connect 2 drives.

You pressed play on one and record on the other to copy games lol. Cost me a tenner.

Started with a BBC Model B, moved on to an Amiga 500, discovered live music, birds and beer and finished up with a PC. (dabbled with a bit of Nintendo along the way)
