I found CB to be a right PITA for getting the money back out again.

Have you perfected an easier way, as currently I'm having to withdraw into EUR wallet and then transfer the EUR wallet by IBAN to REVOLUT, Quickly becoming annoyed with CB.

People are saying Kraken is a better alternative to CB, got an account but not really used it yet tbh.

The main problem stems is that CB don't allow GBP withdrawals to a UK Bank Account, apparently it's coming. They do allow withdrawal of money into EUR into an international account, which is why you have to transfer it in and out.

    Weird.

You have to verify your UK account I think, sending a euro SEPA payment to your EUR Wallet, or some shit

You only need to verify if you want to withdraw over a certain amount £2k per day off the top of my head.
I have verified nothing with them and have the option to withdraw anyway. Like I said not actually got around to using them properly though and not enough coins on there for me. Probably fine for most people .

Not true I'm afraid. I tried withdrawing £500 from by GBP Wallet and you're required to "verify" your bank account by sending a small EUR payment via SEPA (which my bank charges for). I did that last night, and got an Email today to say they received it, and activation takes 2-3 days after.

I also read on Reddit, that the activation of a UK account will never work, as not supported for GBP Wallet transfers, hence the need for REVOLUT and alike.

    Infact this is from Reddit

You cannot withdraw GBP. This (as I understand it) is because literally no UK bank will bank them (scared of UK regs). You need to either have a euro account with your bank or use a platform like Revolut. Revolut is fee free and you will get a much better exchange rate than any UK bank (you get the interbank fx rate). What you need to do is below.

    1. Sign up for a Revolut account
    2. Verify you Revolut account (use £10)
    3. Send GBP from your UK account to your Revolut SC and acc #
    4. Exchange GBP for EUR on Revolut
    5. Send EUR to Coinbase (make sure to include the reference #)

Once your EUR hits the Coinbase bank account (usually a few hours but max overnight on working days) then it is automatically verified. You can now proceed with withdrawals however if you have GBP on the platform already you need to change that GBP in Coinbase to EUR as below. If you don't need to do this then skip to step 8 below

    1. Change GBP in Coinbase/GDAX to EUR
    2. Log in to GDAX (it's your Coinbase login)
    3. Ensure BTC/GBP is selected in the top left
    4. Deposit GBP from Coinbase
    5. Buy BTC using GBP (if you place a limit post only order then it's fee free - e.g. maker trade)
    6. Change to BTC/EUR pair in the top left
    7. Sell BTC for EUR
    8. Withdraw (either directly from GDAX or Coinbase) EUR to your Revolut account

Once in Revolut you can exchange to GBP (fee free and at interbank fx rate) and send to your usual UK bank account
So just a heads up, when you come to sell and transfer funds into your wallet, do it into EUR wallet, as it's a lot easier to use REVOLUT to verity the EUR account. .

    Thanks to BigBrand

UK banks accounts accept EUR deposits though as we are still in the European Banking Group or whatever they call it. SEPA.
I have withdrawn EURO to my Barclays providing the IBAN number from memory I think and also to a Nationwide account. (Not using Kraken)
Surely it is down to your UK banks facilities ?!?!?!?

So is your bank not a SEPA member ?

That's why I said above to make sure you withdraw it in EUR to avoid the problem.

If you need a free EUR account that's paired with a free GBP bank account Monese works well.

All set up from the app with two cards one EURO and another GBP sent to you.

There is a £4.95 fee per month but only if the account is in credit.

Microsoft tweeted about it recently, and news that it's going to be accepted in the US a valid payment method, with 100's of companies singing up.

I don't know enough about it, but I've bought in with some spare cash. So see what happens.

If you at these two charts its showing signs its LTC could be about to make a run for it against BTC and USD.

Against BTC its looking to breach the horizontal resistance that's been there from May and July last year.

Against the dollar its been showing higher highs and higher lows on the 4 hourly and might be about to emerge out of the trend.

    Speculation of course.

Bitcoin, Etherium and Litecoin seem to be on the up after the recent losses, i'm pretty pleased that i bought some more Litecoin at the beginning of the month when it was at £79, as today it's now almost double that at £160
