I think this time is a little different as it's accompanied by some bad news such as regulation, stripe has dropped bitcoin for payments etc. I think it will recover for the most part as long as there isn't any news to kill it, there was some positive news such as two more financial institutions accepting Ripple.
There will be money to make on Bitcoin but due to its flaws I can see that crashing eventually but I don't know as much about this stuff as a lot of you. I fancy trying Ripple if it falls under a dollar purely because it has some financial services backing it, I know that undermines some of the ethos but in reality that should provide support to its value.
I don't want ripple to drop - I paid E0.18 for them, rise baby rise!!
I be worried the what ever the MtGox is (which must be important) its getting hacked all the time :-0
Not good for ripple if this is verified as a hack and not a whale.

Can't see it being a legit cashout though. Ripple has been close to $4 recently so why take the money at $1 ?
I don't think an exchange getting hacked will affect the prices of the crypto so long as the currency itself is secure. Not sure if this analogy is correct but it would be like breaking into a home, stealing an encrypted hard drive then accusing the encryption company of being at fault rather than the lack of home security.
There may be an immediate spike down which might cause some people to follow suit but I mean a sustained drop.

Think it was the repercussions of the exchange halting withdrawls and the FUD this kind of press presents rather than a possible hack.
Casual confidence in crypto generally appears to have dropped over the last few weeks and every day now there's some doom gloom story about it being the end. I just think (and hope) it's just a case of riding the wave.
Guys here at work ask me daily how I'm getting on but their enthusiasm to get into it for themselves has dropped purely because of the continual bad press.
Yes the Japanese hack has been confirmed but as EvilSatan said it will be a very short spike up or down. The coins still exist in the chain even if stolen (poor bastards) and will still be traded at at some point.
