What PC have you bought? Is it Windows 10?

Personally I prefer to clean install the OS, particularly if swapping and HDD to SSD as there was a time where the sector alignment was an issue but I am sure software overcomes this now. On the one occasion I tried to migrate an HDD it failed but you can always try this as I find Easeus software to be pretty good:

I am guessing you dont have more than 240gb on the 1TB.

I have used Paragon in the past https://www.paragon-software.com/home/
You can usually find a copy in the usual places
just boot into Paragon via usb and have the ssd as a slave and copy over ;-)

If it's an OEM machine such as a Dell it may even have a factory image you can create recovery media from.

elbysoft did a clonedrive program but cant seem to find it on their website.
that worked a treat for cloning drives (has a sheeps cartoon logo on it)

I use Macrium Reflect, like the others pretty much point click and then swap them over.
