I have the Nextbase 612 Elite - superb 4K quality on nice days, but less so at night or dull conditions. This a battery version. (However, I don't really want to sell it, lol)...

You may want a capacitor driven one if having parking mode turned on as an option.

If you want something with a bit of a discreet form factor, the A119S (with GPS) is very decent, but not WiFi.

512GW is actually very good, but so is the older and cheaper 412GW.

I have a rearview mirror one for sale - it just clips over the interior mirror, but it has no WiFi, and I don't have the GPS module, though these can be bought separately. It has a rear cam as well, but really only the front is any (and is really very) good.

BTW, WiFi tends to be less useful than many think.

    Bilbo.

The 412GW isn't bad in good light. However if you get somewhere where there's a LOT of detail such as in trees and lots of buildings, it can become quite blocky on the video result. Never enough to obscure registration plates or anything.

At night time, it's not great. However, for Dash Cam it's pretty decent and will do the job where needed.

This is the 612GW Elite, 4K resolution. (If you have a 4K tv or PC Monitor, set it to 2160p):

I got a hardwire kit off Ebay. It just goes into a 7.5 fuse (mine are all behind the glove box so easy to reach) and the wire just goes up behind the interior covers.

Make sure you get one with the piggyback fuse in it.

    Bilbo.

My bad Mickey, an oversight. Normally I'd wrap the spoiler tag around as in the other forum but slipped my mind today.

Got my 612gw today and really impressed with it fantastic quality videos and nice small unit.
Cant see how to use the voice function though?
edit: I see it’s voice notifications.

Its cost me a fair bit too lol
camera was £200 we got 20% discount through very.
    micro sd 128gb £35
    hardwire kit £12
Cam should be £250 at full price so not a cheap new toy for the motor but really impressed so far.

We it’s been 6 months and I’m really impressed with the unit and the quality apart from a few issues.

    1. In in the heat the unit powered off and wouldn’t come back on until I did a hard reset. No big deal but more annoying.

    2. This is a big issue for me and I’m not sure if it should be brought to the attention of next base?
The park function is pretty shit with my cheaper cams they detect movement and start recording.
This unit detects a bump and then starts to record.

Mine is hard wired it will only switch on when it detects a bump say the door shutting.
Now I have found this to be a major problem, for instance when sat in the car after 5 mins it stops recording if no movement is detected.
You start off again and it’s not recording and may not record anything for several miles if there’s no bump.
This means if you have an accident while in said situation you will not record the lead up to the accident only the aftermath.
    What good is that?

So I may be changing the wiring to ignition switched rather than always powered.
If you ask me that’s a major design flaw that needs attention.

    Would i reccomend it?
Yes for the quality alone this camera can pick a number plate from cars no other camera could ever have seen.

Is is it worth the money?
you can buy this unit under £200 now so yes but beware you need a big micro sad card if your using 4K recording.

Thats probably all I can say in a short description of my usage.
Overall happy with it but has issues.
