Yes you need a bit of patience. I have found 8 minutes of steeping before pushing down the plunger for the perfect brew.
When at home the procedure consists of pouring the boiled water into the cafetiere followed by "OK Google, set reminder for 8 minutes called 'TEA'"

    :-)

Anyhoo from our findings, as Czar said above the Pukka one is good but we actually preferred a Co-op own brand one. It is in a red box and called Coop Fairtrade 99 loose leaf tea blend and came with some WWII story about how it was first blended and some bollox. Anyway long story short we voted it was better than Pukka (sorry Czar) and the others we tried including Tea Pig etc

It's about £1.70 for a fairly decent amount off the top of my head. Miles apart from Tea in bags.

Also without going too off topic. Use Organic Milk...... HUGE fucking difference ;-)
Without going even further off topic, make sure it's Full Fat, none of this cancer causing Semi or Skimmed (do your research, they don't just 'skim' the cream off and it IS NOT less fattening as they destroy the enzyme which tells your body how to digest the fats in the process of 'skimming')

    lol
Got this one today but looks like powder rather than leafs...

Yeah that not right dude but the infuser looked tighter holed on Amazon photos than that.

That is the correct tea I was on about mate and yes the leaf is very finely cut, mine looks the same as in the picture. Using a cafetiere we get ZERO leaf in the cup at the end.
I can literally drink the entire contents of the cup with no bits at all, every time too.

A decent infuser will be a very very fine mesh and won't let anything through. The one I have (linked above) seems to be no longer available on Amazon now which is a shame because it's excellent.

I've used loose teas that are similar to what you get in teabags right up to loose teas that unfurl into quite large leaves and each time, no leaves in my cup.

If you don't get on with that I would recommend a French Press as BaldBouncer mentioned earlier.

Can't fault it. Completely clear end result.

Did you get to taste the tea though ???

    Thanks to piggzy

Yeah it was lovely. I'll need to try a few more before I can make a comparison but compared to bagged tea it was definitely more flavoursome

Those 1500ml pots will give you a good 4 or 5 decent mugs of tea. Mine is a 1200 and I get 3.5 good size mugs out of it
