Right I'm fucking confused now. Second infuser arrived and I'm still getting particles in the teapot. Think it's the tea particles being too small

These are designed for loose tea not fine ground tea the sort you are using but on the bright side you did give me the chance to say 'Told you so' to I Black Belt later when I said I bet the next post you make will be the new teapot with bits in.

From my experience the finer cut (not ground) the leaf as is the Coop one the better the flavour and the shorter the steep time etc
Not saying stick with the Coop one , but I found other finer cuts were better than the larger leaf. I found with the larger leaf that you either use tonnes of leaf or need to leave it so long your tea is lukewarm before it is drinkable.
There was also a Medium cut one I found also in the Coop called "Indian Prince" I like it but the Mrs didnt. It claimed to use something like a minimum of 80% Indian black tea leaves which are apparently far better than Tea from Africa. Who knows.

cough cough French press cough cough

Can't take credit for that one, it was the Follically Challenged Bouncer who first said to use a French Press. I am actually using a Cafetiere which is essentially the same thing, although I didn't know that until BB pointed it out :-)

However yes, after switching to it from a Tea Pot I would never switch back, you can fit a lot more liquid in it and as you say, Zero floaters.... not even a stray one.

Essential Waitrose Original Blend is a really nice loose black tea. I've tried plenty and this one simply tastes great.

Tea bags wise I still buy Punjana. I guess they sell loose tea as well so I should move over to that.

I just use a stainless basket infuser for a single mug.

Edit - appears to be unavailable now. Wank.
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...

    How was they all?

I went to a shop in the Bluewater shopping centre today, and they have some funky teas.

A lot of the flavours like caramel etc have added crap and E numbers.

The actual standard teas were quiet nice.
