Film Final Ready Player One Trailer Opens a World for True Dreamers

Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One is almost here and Warner Bros. has released the final Dreamer trailer for the movie. Critics have already seen the movie after its surprise premiere at SXSW late on Sunday night and the reviews have been generally positive, many praising Spielberg's vision and the way that the screenplay improves upon the source material. The new Dreamer trailer throws some lines from the reviews up on the screen while Tye Sheridan's Wade Watts character recites the big screen version of the Anorak's Quest quatrain clue.
Now that the reviews have started to trickle out, many fans and detractors of Ernest Cline's 2011 novel, Ready Player One, have been able to relax. Fans of the book will be happy that Steven Spielberg stays close to the overreaching theme of the book and detractors will be happy that the movie isn't just one long nostalgia fest like the previous trailers have made it seem. The marketing campaign for Ready Player One has recently caught some flak for a series of posters that pay homage to classic 80s and 90s films.
The new Dreamer trailer is less on the Easter Eggs, though there are plenty, and focuses more on the story while showing off some rave reviews for good measure. As previously mentioned Wade Watts is reciting the Anorak's Quest quatrain clue, but it's a little different from what we read in the book. There's more footage of Art3mis (Olivia Cooke), Parzival, and Aech (Lena Waithe) interactions, which shows Art3mis' electric touch standing Parzival's hair back up, and Aech poking some fun at his buddy. These interactions are a little more in-depth than what we've seen thus far and proves that there's a human element among the intense sights and sounds shown in the OASIS.
As for the played down nostalgia factor, King Kong and the Iron Giant are clearly visible along with Rexy from Jurassic Park and the iconic monster truck, Bigfoot. The DeLorean from Back to the Future is on display yet again and blink-and-you-miss-it cameo by Harley Quinn and Deadshot. The trailer is set to a remixed version of Norwegian band Aha's 1985 monster hit "Take on Me" that slowly morphs into the original version by the tail end of the new trailer.
Overall, the new Dreamer trailer for Ready Player One features more of the human element while toning down the nostalgia just a bit. Also, repeat viewings show off just how random the OASIS is, with people surfing, snowboarding, and building rollercoasters in the background of the madness. The OASIS is definitely a place where pure imagination exists. This is the last bit of footage to be released before the movie hits theaters on March 29th, but there's plenty of previous trailers to take a look at as well. Hmmm i'm not too sure. I'm hoping it's not graphics over substance which most films seem to be nowadays.

The book was a lot better, but the film in its own right was superb. Lots of Easter eggs in there. A Zeimecks cube, I had to explain that to a lot of people.
