Had a similar situation on a Baxi boiler and I got the closest thing I could find and it worked fine until I got a genuine one. I used it for months it was wrong ohms/amps forget which but was clearly close enough to do the job.

Its a relatives tumble dryer & even though i can bypass it it easily enough, i would rather replace just in case something happens. Buying the entire element with thermo's semms like a massive watse tbh so woul just like to replave th thermo cut out if possible.
I assume that i just need to find one with which is 230v, 130c & 10 amps ? Im not sure what the current should be, so im guessing at around 10 amps.

Yeah bypassing is a bit dodgy but most tumbles have got 2 thermostats ;-)

If its an open bi-metal type and it just tripped on over heat use blu tak to pull the disc out this will reset it.
