    Default Non-cumulative Tax code

I noticed at the end of last month that I had been placed on a non-cumulative tax code for last month. As such when I received my annual bonus in March payday, I was taxed more than usual.

I've since corrected my tax code with HMRC, but the question now is, when do I get this tax back? Can I apply for it, or do HMRC issue it when they see fit later on this year?

HMRC will (eventually) issue it automatically. As the 5th April was the end of the year though the end of year declaration should be submitted by your employer by the 19th April so give HMRC a call say a week after that and ask for it to be reviewed.

    Thanks to hoponbaby
