Advice Anyone own a Suzuki Grand Vitara 2009?

Looking at buying a 2009 vitara tomorrow and it says it has sat nav but looking at the pictures I canít see a screen anywhere.

Its a really tidy motor from the pics and only 70,000 on the clock so making a trip to go see it.
Whats the reliability and overall experience like with these cars?
Only looking at it as the wife wants a jeep type car.

After a quick search last night on the old mot failures and last mot shows it has an oil leak
so we have left that one and bought a different car now.

Same make and model but nicer.

    No problems mate.

On a related note, my lad always wanted a Vitara Fat Boy. I think I only ever saw 2-3 actually on the road in the early 90's, certainly not seen one for many years. Always thought they were a cool little car.

That's a hefty price tag for that kit! Are you upgrading the stock speakers to something with a little better sound quality?

Worth their weight in gold dash cams, seems often like a pointless investment, only takes one bump to prove you were innocent with the insurance to save you £££'s on your excess and save your no claims and renewal premiums.

It was an expensive toy but worth every penny.
    Kenwood dmx1707dabs
    Facia adapter
    double din fitting kit
    harness adapter
    steering wheel control adapter
    dab/fm antenna splitter

    £460 all in.
Now onto the speakers and some under seat subs if space and finds allow.

Waiting to fit the led bar on the bull Bar now.
Brackets arrived this morning but seller sent the wrong ones.

Removed a damaged panel to find a nasty dent so after a little tlc and a new body kit trim itís almost back to how it was.
but I canít source a new door trim in the colour I need anywhere for the lower door
so I just cleaned and reused the old one with the new rubber body kit trim.

Sunday went to the train station to pick up daughter and on the motorway the car felt sluggish and almost as if the handbrake kept being applied.
When I got home there was a smell of burning oil really bad coming from the car.

i couldnít see anything obvious so called out the rac.
Now itís a long story but we had issues getting first gear and after a bit of arguing the garage where we bought it agreed to change the clutch.
when they got the car they said the spigot shaft was damaged and had to be changed as well as the clutch so they had the car for a week before we got it back.

After the burning oil smell I was worried the diff or gearbox could be the issue and the rac guy took one look and said thereís no way they have had that gearbox out mate.
All the bolts are caked in dirt and oil and he said if they would have taken that out then there would be clean spots and spanner marks on the bolts.
so heís advised me to take it local and get them to check diff and gearbox fluid levels.

And ask ask their opinion also on 5he gearbox if they come to the same conclusion call the garage and tell them you either want money back a or they need to recover it and fix it. He has also recommended I go to trading standards if the local garage agree as they have not carried out the work as I had been informed.

So Iím so pissed off now our has to be off the road until the local garage can check the levels before I can drove it anywhere.
