    Default Middle Market Android Phones

I've come to the point where I need another mobile.

I'm not wanting to spend loads as I'm in a SIM only contract, and while I got at least a year out of most of my last few phones, I've managed to kill the last couple quite quickly. Something around £2-300 would be good.

I've figured out what I am after specs wise, I thought I would see opinions of others here

    Essential:
1: Good battery. I've had enough of turning wifi/location/Bluetooth on and off every 5 mins and still having to charge phone maybe multiple times a day. I want something that can have everything on all day and comfortably handle at least 2-3 hours of call time (preferably more).
    2. Dual SIM.
    3. Decent internal storage (the way I'm going I feel like any amount could do with a bit more, but I'm thinking at least 32/64Gb).
    4. Slot to add memory card (as above)
    5. Reasonable size. I'm not bothered about having the biggest phone on the block - would probably find it a nuisance. But I don't want some tiny piddly little thing either.
    6. Support for all current UK 3G/4G bands
    7. Support for one of these newer fast USB chargers.

    Highly Desirable:
    1: UK Supplier/warranty
2: Easy to root/install a stable cyanogen mod firmware
3: No/minimal bloatware on stock rom.
4: No stupid trays that need special pins to remove SIM/memory card.
    5. Support for wireless charging (with cheap home/car charger availability).

When my phone gives up the ghost, I'll be seriously looking at this one:
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ulefone-130.../dp/B07CQN1G7C

I've had the power one previously and it was brilliant until I smashed the screen.

Not sure it meets all your requirements but I've been considering the nokia 8, currently 299 at carphone warehouse for a 128gb/6gb model.

It's still running superbly, and they've had a price drop too.

It doesn't have wireless charging, but that's about the only thing that doesn't meet your desirable requirements.

In truth, I've had about 6 or 7 chinese android phones to test in the last year and have to say they are flawless. I always compare their specs against the high end Samsungs and generally, they at least match, or piss all over the Samsung specs. Most,I've given away to friends/family and to date, all are going strong. Dual sim, sim free, huge battery life and very very quick. Octacore processors, gorilla glass, the list goes on .Ok, so they're from Amazon, but at least if it's fulfilled by Amazon, then returning it if there's an issue is hassle free.

Not current but new ones are around.

Lenovo P2 simply because of the battery life and solid metal jacket. I'm a heavy user and still only charge it one or twice a week and that only takes 15 minutes with the quick usb charger that comes with it.

Still using my Elephone M3 with 21MP camera and love it.

This gets very good reviews and is a lot cheaper. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Glob...840273480.html

I had seriously thought about the P2 before, last phone I bought was a Moto G5+. At the time I was struggling to decide between G5+ and P2 but went for the G5 as I had been happy with the G, G2 & G4. However when my mate with the P2 told me about his battery life I was gutted.

I think I'm gonna go for this in a day or two. £220 seems quite reasonable, everyone else seems to want £300+

@Over Carl: Steal at that price bud.
There's a video on youtube somewhere, where they run the Ulefone Power side by side with an Iphone. They're synced and it's showing the battery comparison.
What's brilliant, is that when the Iphone goes dead, they charge it via the Ulefone and it still has more in it than the recharged Iphone.

I have an Honor 9 Lite. £160 from CPW and does everything I need. It makes and receives phone calls which is quite a novelty seeing as the vast majority of prioritisation around "Mobile Phones" is how well it can play games, movies, take photos etc.

It has very decent 4G ability, Great Wifi, NFZ and Bluetooth. The camera is reasonably decent. If I were to leave it on a table and simply use it for making receiving phone calls, the battery would probably last 7 or so days. If I'm using it for some web browsing, social media etc., 3 days before I'm really having to consider charging. I play the odd game. Nothing intense, just some of these touch and point type games e.g "Nobodies, Father and Son, Opus" etc. Playing one of those games for say 30 mins hit my battery for about 6 or 7%.

People who are happy to spend £700 - £1000 for a phone or get wrapped up in 24-36 month contracts are bonkers

So am I the only one that's never played a game on his mobile then ??

I have a vague recollection of trying out a game once but I could be wrong. I get excited every time I get a new phone and install tonnes of apps then after about 2 weeks all I do is text/phone calls and the camera.

The price on the link I posted the other day has come down to £202.49 so I've decided to take the plunge.

Thanks a million for everyone's suggestions
