Serious What are your three favourite types of crisps?

I know that crisps have become more tasteless, and come in smaller bags over the past 10 years.....but what crisps do you still love to munch on at lunchtime, or when having a beer?

    My three favourites are:

    1. Salt and vinegar Sqaures
    2. Bacon Wheat Crunchies
    3. Rib and Saucy Nik Naks

    (Just a silly thread )

With crisps, it is all about which one gives the best munchpulp, i.e.the shit left at the bottom of the bag. Needs to be tasty and plentiful.

    Marks and Spencer Cheese Tasters
    Bacon Wheat Crunchies
Chilli Heatave Doritos, not mega spicy but a good flavour and of all the corn chops Doritos have the best texture.

If at lunchtime there are a few as they have to go with my sandwich as half of them will be on it. I tend to go for ready salted, bacon or cheese and onion with an egg sandwich. I could also do a bag of salt and vinegar Kettle Chips with any other sandwich.

    lol, munchpulp.

The best I've found for this are salt and vinegar Discos. I think the production of them is not that strict, as you occasionally get 8 bags in a 6-pack (bonus), and the flavour distribution can vary from batch to batch. So occasionally, you'll get a salt and vinegar bag with a load of salt and vinegar dust at the bottom. Slide that down your throat in one go and it practically blows your head off

Forgot to mention them. Yes they are the best. I get em to myself cos the rest moan about how strong the vinegar is. Suits me. By the end of the bag my eye brows are sweaty and my lips are burning.

Although I try to avoid Walkers due to some boring bullshit I wont bore you with here atm I sadly am unable to avoid The Chilli & Lime one they are doing in that "Great with Beer" range. Hot as fuck and I cant get enough of em.

Apart from that for chavvy crisps I like, Burger Bites, Those really awful American Hamburger ones that I continue to buy in the hope they taste like they used to (They dont), Space Raiders and Roysters.
Normal crisps = Chees and Onion Seabrook

A treat = The rest of the family say its a big NO NO but I fucking love. Vegetable crisps. Lidl do a great one. They can be pricey but just lightly salted mixture of Beetroot, Parsnip, Carrot etc even found one that had Turnip

In the Coop the other week I discovered Tortilla Crisps that were some kind of Mexican theme and contained Cacao Nibs. Fucking lush. Made em really crunchy with a depth of dark choc that was savory and worked well.

The best Burger Bites I found were in about 89 in Spar as own brand product. They did them for about five years and then stopped. They wee a brilliant texture and covered in flavoursome shit. Best thing with them though was the munchpulp cos they used to sort of physically decay in the bag. I would kill for a box of them. Nothing has matched them apart from the old Phileas Fogg corn chips from around the same period but they died before the brand did. Shame as they were a good, wholesome and cheesy as fuck snack.

Still sell em at mine. Sadly for me I live a 60 second walk from my local Spar. Waste so much money in there

I remember the Phileas Fogg Corn Chips, they were proper cheesy, used to love them. The Garlic Croutons they made were pretty decent too.

I can't get my tastebuds around those vegetable crisps piggzy. I want to like them, but just can't get into them.

On a separate note, I burned through an entire tub of prawn cocktail Pringles the other week. Salty as hell and full of flavour.

    Thanks to flumperino
