    Default Cheap(ish) gaming Pc

My mates lad wants a gaming PC for Christmas. He's only 12 so my mate is loathe to spend too much. What do you think the minimum spend should be to get him a machine that will actually run any of the current crop of games?

    Thanks

Is he tech savvy enough to build his own? Well worth a look on PCPartpicker if he is - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/

I'd be tempted to build one with a Ryzen 2200G or 2400G, they've both got a basic inbuilt GPU that will play modern games at reduced detail, and if it gets used enough, add a second hand GTX980 or similar for another hundred quid or so at a later date.
