Default Recommend me a chinese phone around £200 please.

Not in a huge rush but my phone is starting to show sign of dying. I didnt want to be forking out right now so if it does die I will only want to be spending around £200 ish.

It has started acting as though I am pressing all over the screen like it is possessed, opening apps, closing em etc.. happens for 10 mins then is fine the rest of the day....
    Digitizer dying I assume .....

I will be replacing an Elephone M3 which has served me well for about 3 years I think now. Not favouring any specific Brand. Like the build quality of Xiaomi . (got the Mrs one last month) but happy to listen to suggestion from you orrible lot.

    Cheers.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is still a pretty capable phone. They are around £220 or so according to recent hukd postings.

Really like the look of the new Xiaomi Pocophone. Really like but it looks like it will be a couple of months before its available. Everywhere seems to be preorder.

Anything Xiaomi. Pocophone looks amazing but try and get one with the official global rom, getting a bootloader unlock from xiaomi can be a faff.

I've had a mix 1 for about 20 months and its still great. I'll never buy a ceramic phone again though, pure heartbreak dropping it

Mix updated to MIUI10 yesterday which was nice. Nice that it's better but blinding that they're still rolling out decent updates

    Thanks to losttoy

Sometimes I have issues with focusing on close up items, need to move camera close and away a couple of times to get it to refocus.

Problem is I've cracked the plastic cover on the upper camera so I can't say whether the device is generally tempermental with close up focusing or whether this is a result of me damaging it.

Apart from the close focusing issue, camera is brilliant. Even has some strange feature my mate found where you can stand in a fixed location and turn yourself 360° and it takes a whole load of pictures and stitches them all together to make a complete 360° panoramic view.

In the other thread I mentioned I had to reboot the device every so often as it would loose data, it seems to have behaved itself for last few weeks - maybe this was a result of me playing around and setting up loads of new apps.

    Thanks to Over Carl

Cheers. The layout of their info is confusing me. Can you confirm what the rear camera(s) is/are. Dual camera? MP? Cheers.

Just when you think youve made your mind up ;-)

@piggzy What did you decided to buy in the end?

@andyinlondon Did yours come from Gearbest? I'm tempted at that price but their (Gearbest) reviews on trustpilot are mostly bad.

Ive changed my mind a few times and might change it again but atm I'm mostly settled on the Ulefone Power 5

I would love to get the Pocophone but I know after then initial excitment of a new phone I end up just using it as a phone and a camera. Never play games, very little social media etc so to bo honestthe extra £100 or so would probably be a waste of money on me.

Not in a huge rush though, so gonna keep nosing around for another week or 2 ..

Just read a review claiming its camera is basically unusable in low light conditions so now I'm not sure pmsl

Trouble is these reviews I have seen often slag of a feature that is present in early or prototype models which may have been fixed in a software update.
    You just dont know lol

    Edit:

Bit more digging and its not fixed.

Loads or articles showing how the dual cameras front and back both have a fake lens that just detects VGA. So not dual cameras at all. Just a play on words. cunts
