I have a friend who's trying to get the ink from elsewhere, the ink is like 250 a bottle! Don't seem to be able to do it. Machine has RFID chip on the bottles too.

To the best of by knowledge there isn't a third party replacement for the Kornit inks. Most of the third party inks available are for printers that use epson printheads probably because they've been widely researched for normal compatible ink manufacture.

Just did a search on a chip resetter for kornits and came across [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] might be worth asking the seller if there is one for the Hexa and if they have any knowledge of inks.

Yeah the Kornit isn't so accessible to most, it's 250k printer.

That ebay links is best solution I've seen so far will pass it on.

My friend just informed me that the reader there exists because of him, that's his guy or something.

Recently had an offer I couldnt refuse on an Epson 7890 wide format.
Went through the same process as it takes 9 carts and they are 150 each (for the ml's I was using)
Found a company that are brilliant and brought costs down to 30 for the same amount of ink.

They dont list Kornit on their site but the CS is the best I have experienced and being a family run business they might be worth talking to, to point you in the right direction. Could help me enough on the phone and sent me bits for free to help me fix a cock up. Will deffo continue using them. Also their inks are lab certified archhival for 90 years min etc

If you have a kornit do NOT mess about with cheap inks etc, these are dogs bollocks and you don't want to fck up a 250k machine..if you can afford one you can afford the inks IMO..
it's just not worth the hassle, they're good on ink consumption tbh..
