Been a while since I had a mess around with a 360, but one i gave to a friend a few years back returned, worse for wear, was going to bin it but it's rgh, so I thought let's have a play.
A lot of the sites with information have closed down.
Apparently these with this code can be a royal pain in the ass to fix. With power supply plugged in and power button pressed fans get power for about and 1/8 of a second and then led on supply goes red.
The problem is hardware issue, if you have been tinkering it's normally a short somewhere, check ports for shorting, mine not that either.
Next is test the mosfets, near the cpu at the front side of the board, They need removing from the board to test and are a right pita. I robbed a couple from a scrap board and swapped them wasn't that.
Then I unplugged the fans and hit the power button and a cap blew it's top, just as I was leaning over, a face full of cap smoke.
There were several bulged caps, so swapped them from scrap board.
The one In the circle was the fault to prevent booting, you can see the top of the one below it ready to pop.
It now boots but with no hdmi, looks like a hana fault so I've ordered a couple of chips on slow boat from China, when they arrive I'll ball them up, fit and see what happens.
You can test standy voltages at the top 'fets,
Should be
Red 5v
Pink 3.3v
Grapefruit 1.8v
