I'm just sick of hearing how "good" they are. I just can't see it or justify buying one.

Just more hipster tat in my old aged opinion lol

I've had one for a couple of years and think it's great for what it does. Used it this evening.

I have reviewed a lot of these, personally I use the Ninja Foodi Mini Multi-Cooker 4.7L mainly as it is not just an air fryer but multi function.

For a basic air fryer the best imho is the Breville halo rotisserie air. Mainly because of the rotary function, with the "basket" ones you need to stop and shake things like chips or they don't cook evenly

we have had the white single layer one for years now but on third one now since release.
Then the missus wanted a black double layer one but she doesn’t even use the top section what’s the point in it?.

Chips are 100% better in the actifry than any other method but in the air fryer they are burnt on top and raw underneath unless you constantly shaking them which is a right nause.

I’ve got a ninja multi that does all sorts, not really explored it all. Air fryer is convenient, I’m not sure why everyone gets so wet over them though. I’ve used the pressure cooker, grilled cheese to the top of food and even used the probe to cook a steak to rare before reverse searing but use the kamado most the time for any meats.

I assume it saves me electricity air frying compared to oven and food gets crispier which are the main things for me.

    That breville machine looks awful.
Way too small for a family and i can see a few burns being caused by that chip drum.
No offence but that chicken isn’t feeding a family of 5

Our dual ninja is 9.7L and cooks a chicken one side while cooking roasties or whatever in the next compartment.

What’s happened to me I’m recommending air fryers

Depends on the size of the family I guess, for a small unit I found it ideal, and it depends on what you plan to air fry. Ninja cookers are great, I use mine a lot but same problem when doing stuff like chips or chicken wings, you have to keep opening and turning.

Won’t that be a shot to clean though?
with the ninjas we have the drawer removes and is easy to wash out but with an oven type unit the fat will just sit in the bottom.

I can see cleaning being a pain in the arse.
