Info Getting back into mixing - DDJ400 - where to get music?

Hi guys, I’m a music lover looking to get into home DJing again after a 20 year break from 1210s I usually buy a music related device to get me through the long UK winters (last years was an OP1) I‘m currently on holiday and have ordered a DDJ400 for when I return. My music collection has long gone unfortunately and am looking for suggestions on where to build up some playlists again to get me started. I see there’s a wealth of options online.

I wondered if there’s a preferred go to? My preferred Genres would be Hip hop, instrumental hip hop, trip hop and ambient chill-out.

Ideally I would like to have access to the tracks locally and the ability to record mixes (by alternative methods if ness) basically something half decent that doesn’t cost the earth. If anyone knows of any ‘other’ good places for tracks please feel free to pm me.

    Many thanks ✌️👌

Morning buddy and thanks for the reply. My old vinyl was all rave, had a really decent collection at one time. If your collection is accessible via a drive I'd love to take a look.

What IPT mate? Sorry been out of the loop for a while. (blame the kids)

Drop us a PM if better. Thanks

You’ll probably find good playlists on Spotify, Soundcloud etc then you can use something like Soulseek to find the tracks.

Thanks mate, haven't heard of that one before will give it a go.

I've just been using noteburner via Spotify and it seems to be working okay 👍

I used the old SoulSeek a long time ago to build up collections. Only issues were the bit rate wasn't great so when mixed or played load (in a club etc) they sounded shit.

Most torrent sites, like IP Torrents have their own MP3 packs or FLAC packs of various genres of music. I also got a lot of new school rave from guys on Soundcloud.
