I'm running a half marathon for my baby great nephew.. Please read...

I'm running the Great Bristol Half Marathon for my great nephew Jenson "Button" with the little warrior's dad & for the grand appeal charity.
Bristol Childrens Hospital have saved Jenson's life on more than one occasion. He's now 3 months old but at 2.5 weeks old he collapsed and was diagnosed with aortic stenosis, he required an emergency operation through his armpit to balloon the valve for more effective blood flow. He was discharged a week later & they spent 7 days at home before being readmitted at his first clinic check up. They spent a further 6 weeks + in hospital before he received open heart surgery to repair the valve.
Any monies raised will be donated to the Grand Appeal Charity, a brilliant team of people who continue to help young children and families like theirs.

We owe these wonderful people a massive debt and this is the least I can do to help.

5km today. My running mate is nursing a foot injury so it looks like tomorrow's long run is cancelled. We are still well ahead of schedule though.

I just realised I never updated this with my result. So sorry everyone.

I had a pretty rough time that in all honesty is probably down to the Guiness the night before! I cramped up on 8 miles and struggled all the way home. Still, got it done and that's what matters. The memory lives on, the pain is gone.
