is there anyway to resolve this 127.0.0.1 loopback error please

hi, I keep getting this error when I want to set 127.0.0.1
I'm creating a direct lan connection to a printer(no internet) it's the only way to connect the device and the instruction is to set the Ip to 127.0.0.1
but windows will not let me..
Is there fix for this please?

Do you have a link to the steps? Is that computer offline too? How does the printer connect to the network?

You can run a LAN with normal IP addresses without needing internet, I’ve not heard of using a loop back to connect a printer before.

Might it say to use the loop back for DNS rather than IP address?

It's okay, i've sorted it now..

I added another network card to the PC, connected that to the printer and let the software connect to internet with the other network card..
