Buying Wireless Outdoor Security Camera (Hard Wired) suggestions?

I've seen loads of great, cheap off-brand wifi security cams, but they're all powered using a transformer built in to the power plug. I want to replace my mains powered outside porch light so I need to be able to wire it straight to the mains. Needs lights, motion sensor, remote movement, speaker & mic etc.

Want to spend a max of £60

    Any suggestions? Thx!

    Cameras don't run of 240.

I work for a security company (Funny I know!) and all our kit is low voltage.

We do cameras and stuff for all the main hospitals, unis and other fancy pants stuff in Central London.

Most things that are on the budget install your own are not much cop. Maybe better to look for second hand pro kit and use that.

In terms of adapting your system, depending on how its set up, the kit is powered from the network/DVR/NVR So only one cat6 cable will do it.

Guess all this is overkill, but where possible avoid 240 for CCTV. Interference and cable stress has its own issues.

Why not take a spur off the lighting feed that’s there and feed it to a waterproof enclosure to house the LV transformer.

That way you can have a outside light and install a small CCTV camera, even a WiFi IP based CCTV camera will do.

The addition to the lighting circuit is nominal and the spur could be fused to protect the transformer.
