Well they have managed to keep the flights grounded for more than 12 hours now in one of our busiest airports. The cynic in me is saying they are letting this run a while so they can push through much tougher regulations with regards to the use of drones by joe public. Thoughs go out to those poor sods stuck there. I don't think this is a lone teenager with his early xma present either. Seems co-ordinated and planned. Here is the story
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]Tens of thousands of passengers have been disrupted by drones flying over one of the UK's busiest airports.
Gatwick's runway has been shut since Wednesday night, as devices have been repeatedly flying over the airfield.
Sussex Police said it was not terror-related but a "deliberate act" of disruption, using "industrial specification" drones.
About 110,000 passengers on 760 flights were due to fly on Thursday. Disruption could last "several days".
The airport said the runway would not open "until it was safe to do so".
Those due to travel have been told to check the status of their flight, while Easyjet told its passengers not to go to Gatwick if their flights have been cancelled.
