Default Windows 10 POST virus problem . Error.

Had a cunt of a virus about a month ago now. Antivirus got rid of it "eventually" but I am left with an annoying popup error every 10 minutes or so.

So something from the now removed virus is left and trying to call a now deleted javascript file every x number of minutes.
Have searched regedit, config/startup files and the stuff you would expect all to no avail.
I must be missing a simple thing I havent checked.

    Any ideas appreciated guys.

    Thanks to piggzy

tried CCleaner but like I said there is nothing in the registry... It found nothing too
Also tried the uninstaller program or a similar one.

    No joy.

    Cheers.

Actually my CCleaner is well old looking at the version.
Will get an updated one and try it again incase that makes a difference.

You've probably already checked but one of the other places to check, aside from windows startup is in scheduled tasks to make sure it hasn't created something in there too.

Check its not a hook in IE/Firefox, check your web browsers for rogue plugins etc
