Mine are still going strong in the outdoor water proof housing.

One is protected, one is not. Wind, Rain, Freezing temps so far.

Not a problem with it personally.

Benefits significantly outweigh the risk of a cyber attack and my address and paypal ID being stolen.

    Dragging up this old boy.

I have two of these now one covering the front door and driveway as a few cars have had smashed windows recently.
And one in back garden to watch over our hedgehogs at night.

Problems I have found so far and only had them a month.
    - Sensitivity makes no difference on movement detection whatsoever.
    - Sensor light triggers the bloody camera so come in and light stays on for 10 mins then when it goes off it triggers the camera.
    - picks up every tiny weeny little fkin bug flying around even with sensitivity set to min.
    - will not pick up a hedgehog that’s 6 foot away from camera even at max sensitivity
    - HD footage is not what I would class as HD very blocky and jumpy if you try to zoom in even a tiny bit.
    - The delay between triggering and notification lag is useless.

Postman knocks and leaves and then 3-5 mins later my phone will ping.

Anyone else have anything good to say about these?

So you rate them! I have 2 that I am about to install outside. One is being integrated into a knackered Ring floodlight camera casing. I do have a ring one at the front and for £200+ it could be better. It stops recording at the moment you always want. But your review of the Neos is a bit disappointing. Does it have a really good WiFi connection with regards to the delay in alerts?

    Dainese,

They don't exactly trigger over WiFi.
Camera triggers, records 12 seconds and uploads to the NEOS cloud storage. Then the app gets notified and gives you a notification.

I've got a few used internally in the house and looking out of a couple of windows and I'm definitely happy enough with them for what they cost. It's a 1080 resolution so maybe not full HD by some people's definition but certainly good enough as long as it's positioned well and the lighting allows a good image.

I do get some false motion alarms with sunlight coming in the window at certain times of the day but I've minimised them by repositioning the camera and curtains. Sensitivity settings seem to work OK on all mine and don't get triggered by insects etc. I don't use the IR much as it causes a lot of reflection on the ones looking out of windows.

Not perfect but unless you're spending big bucks on a system there's not much to complain about (IMHO).

I'd prefer some control over where the video is uploaded to and also a shorter record/alarm time as its possible to stop the upload by killing the power quickly (we do this when we come home after being out overnight etc.)

Fuck me I just typed a huge reply and forum crashed

Its a £25 camera so apart from all the reviews which seem to be “best camera ever” it’s ok at best.

It's hardly the best camera, but for the price point, it's really good.

My issues with it (bear in mind I use outside, which it's not designed for)

    * Picks up flying/passing bugs
    * Motion Sensor is not based on mass, but change in pixels IE car headlights shining into my drive, will trigger it
    * After the 60 second clip is recorded, it doesn't always pick up motion straight away into the next clip. Thus, if someone walks up my drive, I get that, but now what they do when they reach my front door.
    * App can be glitchy and not connect too well.
    * Quality at night is shocking (although, I get it's not designed for outside, and therefore the IR sensor doesn't project that far. Internally, it's not bad TBH.

They're serving a purpose at the moment, but I really want to update two x1 cameras that work over PoE with an NVR so I can access 24/7 recording from my laptop or phone, have dedicated outdoor IR for night time use and then also use the app for notifications of genuine mass detection, not change in pixel colours for the motion detection.

    Thanks to BigBrand
