    Default Calling all photoshop experts

Hello all, i need help creating an effect in photoshop, i've been trying for a while without success so that's why i am asking here.

So what i want is to create the spatter effect seen in the lower half of this image.

This is the image i start with, and can add a rainbow effect quite easily to the silhouette in PS via layers etc/

I have no problem creating the top half skyline, it's just the splatter effect i'm having no luck with, i've tried various splatter brushes but they just don't look right.

I need a fairly simple method to add the effect to other skylines i create.

    Many thanks.

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I would create your base 'splatter effect' and then just create a mask with your skyline layer.
I would be using Illustrator though but I'm sure you can apply the same process in Photoshop.
