    Review VM Retention Offers?

    Hi,

Another price rise, means another haggle!

    What is everyone else paying?

    ---
    I want something like:

    Virgin Mobile - 15-25GB, 5000 mins, unl texts = 10/m
    Virgin Media - 200-350MB BB = 35/m

Has anyone got anything like this?
    ---

I’ve got the player bundle and 350Mbps for 40/month but that’s only because I had a major complaint with them over mis-selling and it took me several long calls and email complaints until I was offered this and some credit for overcharges in the past year. When I tried to negotiate a deal before any of this they were very rigid, g.fast is supposedly coming to my town so I’m hoping I am enabled so I can play them off one another.

Might be worth keeping an eye on this thread, often the comments will have what others have managed to get:

Just moved house and they've already sent three letters with deals. One was pretty good. At present I've just brought the existing modem to the new house and I'm using that until I get a "new customer" deal I'm ok with, then buy that.
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...

I'm paying 33 a month for 200MB but they've increased it now by 3.50 a month. We're in contract with Sky until November so I'll pay VM at the higher price until November and then negotiate a better deal with TV & Broadband.

you should be able to haggle a new price without going in to a new contract, it wont hurt you to try

I haven't received a letter. Is this a blanket increase for everyone with broadband?

What else is in your package? TalkTalk are terrible so I would suggest leaving them anyway but EE (owned by BT) have 67Mbps for 30/month. There's probably cheaper out there too but I tend to stick with BT/EE where Virgin/other FTTP isn't available. You usually get a nice chunk of cashback to with Quidco or Top Cashback to make it even cheaper.

Just had the 3.50 increase email, I've currently got VM 100mb line weekend calls and basic tv average around 65 month
What are you guys paying or negotiated before I call and stand my ground.

Edit: Just got off the phone after some words with the first muppet, got through to retention's and now have as above but 200mb and 45.25 mth for 12 mths happy days...
