I am a member of several of forums and I don't use Tapatalk but one forum I am a member of are going to stop using Tapatalk due to the fact that Tapatalk are selling advertising based on members info.

Some of you use the R2R Tapatalk Branded App and Tapatalk App and we have tried to keep it working as long as possible. But I recently found out that the company who makes the app (Tapatalk) has started to store user information from forums and have begun to sell advertising based upon this information. We don't sell your info and we don't like the fact that we can't have control over that aspect to keep others from doing it. Another reason is that we like to have control over our community and we don't like some of the tactics used by Tapatalk to force us to comply with their methodology. They also will not support the full features of our forum and it leaves for an incomplete experience for some users at times.

As a result we have made the decision to remove Tapatalk support from R2R and unpublish our app

I'm not trying to promote the other forum.

I don't have tapa installed on any of my equipment and I never really liked it

I used to use it, but didn't it stop for DF some time back?

Was much easier considering there is no mobile site for DF.

I’m still on tapatalk and use it for a few forums.
Other than my forum info everything else I put into tapatalk is bogus anyway

When it first came out it was like a faster way to get onto a forum without the bandwidth issues.
Now as we all got fast BB on our mobiles then this service is no longer needed

I still use it when possible because I find the interface simple and the dark mode is much better for nighttime use. I have not enjoyed the dodgy way it moves adverts where you would normally click to get advertisement hits.
