Been looking at the Galaxy Active 2, but cant bring myself to spend the dosh on it. Apparently its the best Android based watch on the market and it is the Androids version of the all mighty Apple watch. Currently got a Fit Bit Charge 2 HR (been using for 4 years!).

Galaxy watch mate the gear s3 is an old version.
forgot to add I use mine with iPhone and can’t fault it.

It does say you you need to keep the app open to keep connected but mine stays connected through Bluetooth without the app open.

Had a look at the Galaxy Watch, was lovely, but wasn't prepared to spend that for a new one.

I've ended up picking up a Huawei GT2 to go along with my P20 Mate .

    So far it's superb!

Amazfit BIP great cheap watch I wear it all the time and use it for tracking my running, I bought a cheap watch so I could wear it to work and not have to worry about it getting scratched and I haven't managed to scratch it yet. had it over a year and still getting 45-50 days battery life out of it

If it broke our a new model came out I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one, it's been fantastic and only cost 45, spent more on digital Casio watches!

Today I ordered a refurbished galaxy 46mm from Argos on eBay for something like 125. It's on hot UK deals, was out of stock then came back into stock. Worth looking it up if anyone's interested.
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...

Out of stock again, will keep an eye out on this and been looking for one and this seems like a good deal.

    Cheers.

Anyone know of anyone with this watch Amazfit GTR 47mm? Seen some decent reviews on this and a 24 day battery life for a fully fledged smart watch seems amazing.

    Currently on amazon for 108.80

Just bought one last week and love it. Getting loads of compliments too as it looks really nice. I was worried it might look huge on my small wrists but it actually looks just right. Good features, I've tracked my cycle commute and will do my first run tomorrow. I've also tracked a night's sleep with it which was interesting but not convinced by the results. I may change the strap, it looks nice but my skin isn't reacting well to long periods of wearing it. I dont usually have this problem so you may consider getting a different strap too. The battery life is the most surprising, I've been using the watch since Thursday and the battery is still at 78%! I really wanted a watch that I didn't have to charge every day or two and not having to worry about it for a few weeks is a massive plus. You can change the faces quite easily, although it is a little slow and only stores three at a time. There's some third party apps that can be used that offer extra features so there's lots of flexibility to make it work how you want it to work.
So to summarise, for the price, this watch is superb and I highly recommend it. You wont be disappointed.

    2 Thanks given to tawny

The wife has just bought me the GTS for Xmas but I might just have to treat myself to a GTR 47mm Titanium for best and keep the GTS for work.

Seems like it could be great, one thing that does put me slightly off is the slowness/jerkyness of the transitions between pages and menus. I will admit i'm a complete sucker for smooth transitions and all that stuff but one plus of this is the battery as I am a lazy sod and cant be bothered sometimes to charge my Fitbit Charge 2

May be worth having a splurge out on it as the first forage into the world of true smart watches.

As these are new there is always a chance that software/firmware updates might improve the smoothness.

You can't knock the battery life though.
