    Rant Black Friday Bollocks

What a pile of shite Black Friday has become. For me, if something isn't at least 70% off, then it's not a Black Friday deal.

Year on year the deals have been getting worst and worst and this year it's basically fraud.

There's a [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]on BBC's website that confirms what we've all been saying for ages, (that prices are artificially inflated before the event starts) and that prices during Black Friday can be found throughout the year.

Cunts offering £5 off a £50 spend or REDUCED FROM £25 TO £20, GET THEM WHILE THEY LAST!!!! can get utterly fucked.

Last year it wasn't as bad, I managed to get all the Christmas presents sorted at prices I was happy with. This year is a joke.

Am I holding out hope that things will improve by the end of the weeks when supposedly the event officially starts? A little.

    Your thoughts?

    Thanks to cyprus

I agree, the worst example being Amazon who started it in the first place! For the past few years Amazon has had its Black Friday deals swamped with cheap Chinese crap for small discounts. Go back further and they used to have some amazing limited time, limited stock lightning deals and I’d get all my Christmas shopping done in a day without leaving the house.

I still tend to buy quite a lot but it is stuff I need anyway so any discount below what it would cost usually is a bonus but it’s nothing like it used to be.

Also, I have noticed a few UK websites are now using geolocation to hide their deals from non-UK visitors. I noticed it when I had tried to follow a few links to Black Friday deals and they were broken. I used my VPN to connect with a UK IP and the links worked.

Interested to see what their take is on that since EU regulation says that all EU retail websites must make themselves available to all EU citizens.

Agreed. Amazon is particularly rubbish, as they have lightning deals literally every day of the year - and it's all the same stuff on offer.

I've also been looking for a Nintendo Switch, and the best deal I've seen so far is it bundled with some crappy game they can't get rid of, priced at £279........which is the exact price it always is!!

I've been waiting for black Friday deals to order a ring doorbell. Bought one today with a chime for £115 from Costco under my mates account. Happy days. Then realised how fucking massive they are.

I've been actively searching online today, trying to find something to buy.

There's nothing specific that I'm looking for - I'm just trying to find ANYTHING that I like that is a good value purchase, just because I feel like buying something on Black Friday.

Found nothing. Load of old shite

Must admit was well chuffed and impressed with the customer service at amazon and Logitech

Ordered a new boiler now as well under a black Friday week long deal. Ok the old one is on the blink and it needed doing. Ordered through boxt with £75 topcashback and a £150 reduction in the installation date black Friday offer.

Next: black Friday or cyber Monday roof repairs needed!
