Amazon Stuff

Been a while since i was last on DF, bringing up kids and all that. Oldest now at uni and youngest playing online with his mates, finally gives me a little time to get back on DF. Great to see its still up and running, good job to everyone involved.

So back on topic, for the last 1 1/2 i've been receiving random parcels from Amazon, at first i call Amazon about this but they said that they couldn't do anything about it because the sender details are private. So a year on every other day i receive packages, some crap other OK.

I've checked my account and nothing is ever charged to me, but it does worry me that at some point i may get charged.

Has anyone else had this happen to them.

To date I've received the following,

3 x Smart wrist bands
2x Hemp oil
2x Fungal toenail cream
1 x wet shoes
1 x Iphone xs battery case
1 x Coffee Grinder
1 x Metal Straws
1 x LED Lamp
1 x Mini Massager (I think is a vibrator)
2 x LED Lights
1 x 65 piece medical kit
1 x LED Balloons
1x Electric Balloons pump
1 x 128 Tile spacers
1 x LED Bulbs (GU10)
1x Blackhead Remover
1x Digial Scales

I'm sure there more but i can't remember everything

wow odd, i received 2 ds games i didn't order from amazon, i think the paperwork inside was someone elses though but ovs my address on the outside, id ordered from amazon the previous day so thought details must of got stuck in the printer queue and it printed my label again

It's done by Chinese sellers to fake review, they will have got your name and address from something you have filled personal details into or a company selling details on, you may find they don't always arrive with a name at that address, they then review the item/s with a five star by the person who actually ordered it.

If you are looking for advice then not really anything you can do other that what you have already, just keep the stuff, give it away or use it.

Does sound like a laugh though, random amazon shit though the letterbox is better than the usual leaflets that go in the bin.

Bet your postie things you've got a fucking problem!

I can't beliece AMAZON cannot trace this, surely the delivery address is linked to order numbers, and therefore a vendor/account.

They will of course have a record of who ordered etc but data protection will stop them from revealing details, you also get vendors clearing a pallet sending items out, the reasoning behind this is the high cost Amazon charge vendors for storage and they charge per pallet so if a pallet has one item or one hundred items on the cost is the same so if they have for example 3 items left on a pallet then Amazon will charge them something like £600 for that pallet for the months storage they just mail them out to clear the pallet.

There are loads of other things vendors do to avoid costs like getting UK residents to take their returns as they also attract storage fees from Amazon.

I called Amazon as soon as it started happening and your right they do know who is sending the stuff but can't tell me because of Data protection. Will have to start selling stuff on Ebay
