I bought my HP Elitebook 820 series off here a few years back, and it's serving me great.
However, yesterday I stood on the edge of the screen, an this is now knackered.
Looking on youtube, it seems a fairly OK replacement, I'm comfortable and equipped enough to try this. However, there are (as I believe) a G1, G2 & G3 series of the 820 Elitebooks by HP, and mine is pretty old, so much so the label has worn down underneath with the serial number etc printed on it.
Is there any method I can use on the actual laptop itself?
As I can still connect via HDMI to the TV so can access as normal, but not sure of where to look. I read that it's important as the G1, G2 & G3 screens are not compatible.
