2016 BMW 218d

I am looking to have a mileage correction done on my 2016 218d Gran Tourer.
I have been quoted £300 and told that an emulator will need to be soldered onto the circuit board of the clocks.

I have been told by another company that they do not need to solder anything to the clocks and can just programme the clocks and key module but will charge £350 despite the previous guy saying its not possible without soldering onto the circuit board.

Can anyone shed some light on this please??
