Default Usb Print Server windows 10

Hi, I am looking to connect our old Roland Vinyl cutter to a print server(there's no network port) . I'm struggling trying to find a cheapish one that works with Windows 10
can anyone help with a solution please?

I do have lots of old routers floating about and was wondering if one of them could work if it has a usb port?

    many thanks in advance

Depending on the router, some may work, otherwise do you have an old PC kicking about as you could install on that and share it over the network. I haven't used a print server for a long time but in the past I encountered some printers that just would not play ball, rare but seeing as this isn't just a standard printer may affect you.

If you use the router then just need to be careful you disable DHCP server to help prevent networking issues, might be quite a bit of config.

    Thanks to evilsatan

hi, many thanks. it's an old roland vinyl cutter so there could be a chance of issues..I suppose I could go old PC route and just leave it on. Don't fancy 'quite a bit of config' lol!

Mate does a load of vinyl cutting and uses a usb switcher to send jobs to his cutters/printers maybe that's an option?

    Thanks to consoles

it's for users in a different places in the office/building and network points are next to each PC hence thinking the print server route. But again it's worth looking at, thanks

A Raspberry Pi could be your friend here, it takes up a lot less space than an old PC and could allow wireless printing.
