How to tax a car with no v5 or slip new keeper

I didn't think that buying a second hand car with no v5 or green slip was a problem, but I'm finding it difficult to tax it , does anyone have any idea on how to go about it ? It's insured with a full mot but I just can't find a way to tax it online with no book or slip 😡😡 , I would be really grateful for any help , I'm usually more clued up on these type of situations but I've been off the road for a couple of years and I seem to of lost my way lol

There is a form you can get from the Post Office.
i can recall many many years ago, i got a car from an auctions place and it had no
registration documents. I cant remember the name of the form, but i filled in the details
on the form and within a few weeks got a vehicle log book

Yeah , a V62 or something like that, the only problem is though is that I need to use it to go away this weekend, there's got to be some way of taxing it surely

    Not possible online mate.
You have to go into a post office and it will cost you £20 Plus your tax cost

You will be taxed when you leave the post office though so dont panic.
I had to do it recently you can get the form here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Fill it in take it to the PO and pay the fees and your done.
