Amazon Fire HD 8 Google play & Youtube gone?

I ordered an Amazon Fire HD 8 in the Prime day deals, it came yesterday so I sideloaded Google Play and installed Youtube and all went well no issues at all, I knocked it off and got up today, turned it on and now both Apps have gone?

Any help or ideas?

Has it updated overnight?
We have the kids edition here and I was looking to add YouTube to it also.

There was an update a few days ago so maybe that’s wiped out the installs?

I only just done it yesterday, its the Gen 10 one I bought in the Amazon Prime deals, it cant have updated over night as its not at my house anymore BUT I'm wondering if the isssue is because I deleted the 4 files you download to do the process?

Ah yes you have to keep them On the tablet I believe.

I bought the same one on Prime Day too and used the Fire Toolbox to install Google Play and a new launcher. Works like a charm.

It?s on XDA forums and comes up in search on google as top answer I think.

I did the same and removed a lot of Amazon junk from mine.

I bought it direct from Amazon on Prime day, just to add that I redownloaded the files but didn't reinstall and now Youtube and Google Play are both showing up again and fully working so it seems it was because I deleted the original files you download!

I wiped my Amazon Fire HD (2017) and loaded Android Lineage 12.1, best thing I could have done and it's running real sweet.
