My mum, who's 75 and her neighbour who is 92, had their vaccinations on Saturday at the local health centre. She's had a few headaches and a bit of a temperature afterwards, but she was told to expect this. My dad who's 82, has been told he will need to travel to the Excel centre, Stevenage or Epson racecourse to get he's vaccination. He lives in west London...

I thought you could refuse to go to one of the big centres. It just means you have longer to wait.

I go for my first jab tommorow as i work at a hospital. The main issue I have is i'm needle phobic!! I just have to pre warn them!!

He got in touch with them on the 119 number, he now has an appointment for the jab at his local chemist this Friday.

Getting my first injection tomorrow. Jon re horseshoe crabs blood, I used to use it, for endotoxin testing of dialysis water, ie RO water the tests we did was very tedious and long winded, but one company tried to get a foothold at the hospital I work in using a cartridge system. The hospital wouldn't take it even though it removed all human error, down to unit cost. I was told to write a document to say why we needed it..... yawn the dept head couldnt be arsed supporting me

Well I had the first pfizer covid vaccine jab today.
I went down to our hospital jab centre. Filled out the forms and told them I was very needle phobic.
Turns out they were expecting me as a couple of the other engineers had warned then I was due.
I was put in a side room and lay on a bed. First time in a long time I didnt nearly passout. Lay on the bed for a few minutes after the injection and then had to sit for 15 mins in the waiting area, but so did everyone else.
After about 4 to 5 hours my arm has started to ache which is one of the side effects. A couple of paracetamols have helped.

My Nan has now had her second Pfizer jab and says she’s had no negative side effects, in fact she said she was full of energy after each which I think must be a mental thing due to the relief of some worry.

Had mine this morning, a bit more of a dull ache than the flu jab. Maybe is the "chip" they implanted LOL.
Sat for 15 mins after it. The Dr who screened the form i filled out sid , you'll have to carry on this nonsense PPE after this of course

4 days on and the aching pain in my arm has gone, felt lie a dead arm when lifting it up to 90 degrees. Woke me a few times in the night. But from Yesterday painless. I was also a bit bunged up nasally for 1 day too

I'm really unsure.

Normal me would always jump on a vaccine.

But this time round:
None of them have been really tested (and they are using new technologies)
None of them have been tested on people that have already had it, or people with other serious problems.
No legal protection.
Also our government hasn't really inspired my confidence.
But I do even wonder wtf is going on with the medical community.
At beginning they said worse to get masks while I got N95 grade for me and family.
Went to hospital with messed up stomach, everyone refused to agree could be virus until that symptom was well known a few weeks later.
Between 2nd and 3rd time I was in hospital I realised dexamethasone and blood thinners might have saved my lungs. Took another few months before the experts realised.

So before I had great trust in the medical industry. This time I'm not sure.

What really scares me is if the virus lies dormant like herpes or hiv and we don't know it yet. How to factor in that unknown with all the other thoughts leaves me a bit confused right now if I will have it.
