    Photos Common flat-back Polydesmus coriaceus - a millipede.

    They can move quite quickly, but then it does have a lot of legs! 28 pairs I think I counted - and don't they look prehistoric?

    It does look vicious, but I think they only eat eat roots, dead leaves, and other bits of decayed plant materials, as well as strawberries and other fruits.
