Default The best non-english movie you have seen?

I was about to rent movie last week and I didn't notice anything intresting, so I got this spanish movie called as: Los sin nombre (aka nameless). I was a bit sceptical about it: "do they make movies in spain?", I wondered. The answer is yes, and fucking good ones too! Los sin nombre was horror/triller movie bit like se7ven but it should not be shamed compared to its american cousin, not at all.
I was speechless after this flick. The scipt/story was so genius, strong acting and even stronger directing.
I bet my ass that you wont be disappointted if you rent/buy this masterpiece! I won't tell anything about the story, it would be crime to spoil it. It's just awesome and it propably could not never been made in usa.

    here is imdb link: http://us.imdb.com/Title?0222368

has anyone ellse seen this? Did you like? I would give 9/10 for this. Any other good non-usa movies worth of watching?

I'm a french movie guy, since I think I was 13 maybe 14 I've had a place in my heart for the Red/White and Blue trilogy, absolute masterpieces, look for them on IMDB, and also, Brotherhood of the Wolf. It is BY FAR the best movie of last year.

    USA: Run Lola, Run
    Germany: Lola rennt

    Great movie.
And the subtitles aren't overwhelming to the point that it's like you're reading a book.

    Once again, GREAT movie!

I don't speak any of these language, nor understand them, I also hate subs, but still enjoyed these very much:

-French Luc Besson movies (Taxi 1 & 2, Yakuza)
-Last week I saw an undubbed Japanese movie (NOT martial arts): Monday
-Danish Lars von Trier movies like: Riget (The Kingdom), Idioterne (The Idiots)

    Finnish:
    Winter War
    http://us.imdb.com/Title?0098437
I recommend to watch the DDX release with english subtitles.

"Definately worth seeing if you're interested in history. Also this movie introduces the history of Molotov cocktail and some other great finnish inventions." If you didn't know that before?

"This may be part of finnish history and doesn't open to foreigners as well as the Vietnam war, because it caught a global attention and everybody's heard of it. So little piece of regional and national history. Never won an oscar, but would've deserved it one time."

Sad that people just watch movies that get the most attention and noone never sees the good ones.

    German:
    Das Boot

    French:
    Amelie from Montmarte
