linker Xtreme and 256 carFlash advanced problems

I jsut got my new flash linker 2 days ago and it doesnt seem to work properly. The program Xtreme link crashes 3 on 4 times and its the newest version. Even when the writing on the flashcard is done most of the game dont work??? What is the problem I dont understand anyone can help here ???

I've been having problems too, but you have to wonder how the Flash Advance Pro linkers worked when they first came out. I would replace it, but... that might not be the problem.

I also wanted to get rid off the parallel connection. Ugs.. is it really sooooooooooo bad ?

it only has probs with winXP with usb. I've had no probs with win2k and usb since hte new software.. (using 512Mbit xtreme)

So is it better to order the older printer port version of the 256 or wait for lik-sangs new batch of 256 usb to show up?

Hmm... well the newer version 1.13b of XtremeLink works OK. And 1.20b will support the GB Bridge, and SRAM handling (apparently every game will be able to save). So don't worry.

Well I found the answer myself.
Someone in another thread recommended foundmy DOT com so I checked it out (the good news was that they were in my city so I decided to go pick up a USB 256M flash unit).

I'm running win 2K and this thing is great (and fast), I'm glad I waited for the USB version.
I have had no problems yet (and I am playing and backing up).
Can't speak for XP, but under 2K this thing is great (and I got it cheaper than any mail order could have been).

I have the Xtreme linker and 512 cart and everything I have thrown at it works great. Nes, GBA. I am using WinME and the newest software. I did have a problem with getting my card to fit in the linker though, it would only go in one way and it wouldn't flash the card, it was in backwards but I couldn't get it in the right way, it would not fit, I had to trim a bit of the plastic away from the case. After that it fit nice.
