I have a friend whose brother works at Universal Interactive. And he says the version
of the game we have been playing is the final version. That’s why it went gold a few
days after the groups released it. Everything seemed to work fine except for the sound
problem with XP, and if you got the fix that’s it. I hope he was wrong, I would like to
see it be a little longer but with it going gold just a few days after we got it, I don’t see
how much would change.
two things i doubt if it is final.
1. no game icon in "my computer"
2. no readme in the entire cd

can someone help me out, I know this is lame, but I cannot get past the first level, I have planted the c4 and it says to return to the evac point, I assume its the place where I got dropped off, in front of the radio room, but I go there and I cannot get it finish the level...? any ideas???

Hey here's a question. I'm running this game on an Athlon XP 1500 with an old Voodoo 3 2000. The problem is, the game plays perfectly fine, except there are no textures on anything. All the people, walls, monsters, everything is just a plain white. Any thoughts?
I think you need a Direct3D compatible card to play. It was like that for me on High Heat 2003 and Tony Hawk 3 until I upgraded my card. Seeing as how you have a Voodoo, there's really not much you can do about it

1)How do I save in the game?
2)outside there is like a big crater where you find the key
for the infirmary once you get in how do you get out?

I'm having trouble adjusting the screen resolution for The Thing. It is locked at 640 x 480 and 16 bit color. When I try to change it to a higher resolution or 32 bit color, the screen goes black for about 5 seconds and then just reverts back to 640 x 480 and 16 bit.
I am running WinXP pro on a geforce 3 Ti 500 video card (latest drivers). My monitor is a 19" Viewsonic LCD (vx900), also with latest drivers installed (using the DVI input).
My system is a P4 1.8 gHz and an Asus P4T motherboard with 512 rambus memory.

hey i am having problems saving in the taperecorder with the thing-instanity rip.... when i try to save the game screws up, any way i can fix this, i am running the game in the first version (the cd one) and running it in the crack inside the cd, because when i try running the game normally, i get some wrong cd issue... any help in any of these issues?
