Britney Spear is NOT ordinary, she might not be talented or gifted, but she is NOT a girl you see walking on the street everyday!

Your argument was not everyone who gets nominated for the award is special, but the truth it, they are. Or else they wouldnt be nominated.

Huh? You can do alot with some hair dye, lots of makeup etc. same thing they did with Avril lavigne, who isn't more than average in my opinion, pretty ugly actually.

i cant view the picture, do i have to be a angelfire member or something? Anyway, if a person can be nominated for the best new artist award, he or she must has something special. I dunno about Britney, but Avril writes and sings her own songs. And their pretty darn good.

See what I mean? Britney Spears, looks fuckin ugly in that pic, and now everyone thinks she is so "totally hot", meanwhile she was just your average "plain chick on the streets" beforehand. Point is, the same thing with Avril Lavigne, she's plain ugly as well, nothing special.

she makes it look like she has a band but in reality shes just a pop singer. her music sucks and id rather listen to system of a down. thankyou
