Default Geforce 4200 TV Out Help

How can I send a movie to my TV but at the same time be able to do whatever I was doing on my monitor? I want to be able to view a movie on my TV but at the same time be able to surf the web... etc. Thanks.

Go into your nView options (control panel --> display --> settings --> advanced --> nview) and click the horizontal one. It's designed for when you have two monitors right beside each other to make things real easy but you can use that feature for what you want. Just drag the Player window onto the TV part of the desktop and you got it working.

Well I dont have my monitor and TV beside eachother and I cant really let anyone watch the movie because it is showing only half of the screen so its sorta impossible to view anything and I cant do anything on my monitor because the other half is on the TV!

Yes I know you don't have your monitor and TV beside each other, what I was saying is move the movie player window onto the side of the TV and resize it to the right size (don't use alt+enter) then move the IE window onto the monitor part and resize it to whatever size you need

Ya, I tried that but I was just using the internet surfing as an example, I really dont want to go through all that trouble, is there any other way that would just send the movie to the TV and leave my desktop alone?

Try TVTool. Works fantastic. Even improves the tvout quality of Geforce cards.

I have had no problem with Nview viewing< but I do loose apps form time to time and have to switch to tv as main monitor and deactivate the monitor and then reactivate it again. Kind of annoying but in general the app works nice

Anyhow in the control pannel Nview option try unchecking enable window spanning across monitors. I think this panel is new to the latest version of the drivers because it has changed. Once you figure it out make sure to choose the TV as the main monitor and then you can put the media player on that screen and hit alt enter and have it maximized.( use something like power DVD becase WMP's bar activates with every mouse movement even if the mosue is only being moved on the monitor screen) Choosing the TV as main does not put the taskbar on it so the PC will look like it noramlly does but with a smaller resolution desktop wallpaper.
