I heard that if your like on an airplane for like 8 hours in a chair and not moving aroudn once in a while you can get sick. You can pass out or have a seisure or something like that when you get up. You have to get up and move around. Plus your eyes will get strained and it is not good for you. You also get radiation to ur head from the monitor and everything else around you after prolonged periods. You also need sunlight, and fresh air. How can you play for 12 hours straight. The most i have ever spent straight at a computer without getting up was like 4-5 hours. Get the f*ck off your comptuer and do something outside, and exersice much more often, it will help.

ok dude, sorry to repeat the theme in the thread here but it's pretty simple:

1- GO TO SEE, CALL or GET IN CONTACT SOMEHOW WITH A DOCTOR

A bunch of anonymous people in a warez forum is the *last* place you should seek medical advice. No disrespect for the group, but seriously, it's your health man!

2- If it was and epileptic seizure, you wouldn't be saying "man, I can't sleep now, I'm afraid". After an epileptic seizure your body is so drained that you have no choice but to sleep - you'd be so insanely exhausted!

3- Honestly, you're playing that game waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much/long. I don't care if you're at a research center in the middle of Antarctica, 12 hours a day is unhealthy. Think about it, 12 hours? Geese man, FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO, ANYTHING! Read a book or train in something, but for the love of your body and mind, get away from the screen!

4- GO TO SEE, CALL or GET IN CONTACT SOMEHOW WITH A DOCTOR (similar to number 1-)

playing Civilization 3 12 hours means you're in deep addiction, get some rest man!!
your eyes won't take much longer of this.
12 hours of play equal to 4 days of play , 3 hours every day.

    man...!!

...Yeah really, at elast if it were a good game...

But seriousely, I wanna add to what that guy said...About sitting in an airplane for 8 hours and getting sick. Well, you don't necessarily "get sick", but your blood doesn't flow as it should for a long period of time, so you can get blood clogs or some shit...I heard someone died like that...Just by sitting down in a plane for a while...

...In other words, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!1...Ok, maybe not, but we're risking it by sitting on our ass for so long. I play games and sit in front of a computer a lot too, but I also exercise and keep in shape...Since I know that at this rate, I have a good chance of becoming a fat-ass eventually...So I might as well be in shape now...Anyway, that's what all people should do...Sit on your ass, but exercise or work out also...Or play sports...And it's recommended to take short breaks from your computer...Like 10 minutes every two hours or some shit...And use a high refresh rate...So you don't get head aches like some people do...

Hmm, what else...Well...That's pretty much it...Just work out or something...Move once ina while, stretch, etc. Don't just sit motionless for fucking 12 hours straight...Unless you're sleeping...But even then you move a little...Anywho...

Obviously go seek some medical attention. It's better to find out what it was then to let something get worse (if it's anything at all).

But some of these stories of damn funny.. what a fucked up thread.

Why is everyone complaining about sitting 12 hours straight? Youre all athletes browsing isonews-forum between school and gym? Allow me to laugh.

Have you never been on LAN's?! There youll sit in front off the monitor for a couple of days and sleep maybe 4 hours each. Or played a game that keeps you up till early morning. Geez, big deal.

In addition to its occurence in healthy people,
sleep paralysis is also commonly seen in certain
    sleep disorders, especially narcolepsy.

The condition has clearly fascinated sleep
specialists over the years, and knowledge has
accumulated. We now know the following:

While approximately half the population has
experienced sleep paralysis, its frequency in any
individual is rare; my few episodes over several
    decades is probably typical.

Most attacks start suddenly, last a few minutes
and end gradually. However, cases have been
described (in narcolepsy) lasting over one hour.

It occurs during REM (rapid eye movement) sleep,
that sleep stage when the body is naturally
paralyzed or "atonic." For some reason, the
indivdual wakes up during REM sleep and then
    realizes he/she cannot move.

Although full consciousness is usually preserved,
there may be rapid alternation between sleep
paralysis and dreaming, with distortion or absence
of time sense (on one occasion I thought I heard
people talking in the room, which was not so).

A rare form of sleep paralysis is associated with
    terrifying visual hallucinations. The individual
is wide awake yet paralysed, and envisions some
creature trying to harm them. The best described
vision is that of a small malevolent creature that
straddles the victim; the creature either
compresses the chest or attemps to strangulate
the victim, and the feeling is that the creature
is actively trying to kill the sleeper.

This experience is depicted in Fuseli's Nightmare
(1781). There is a rare disorder of familial sleep
paralysis, but most cases are of the isolated
variety. More common than familial or isolated,
is sleep paralysis with narcolepsy - between 17
and 50% of narcoleptics experience it.

Narcoleptics may also experience more than one sleep
    paralysis episode a night.

    Have a nice day.
I remember a few years back when I didn't know what sleep paralysis was and I used to get it all the time. Everytime I get it, I get freaking demonic visuals(things coming to get me). It sucks. I actually got that example of a creature straddling the victim once, it freaked me out. My elbows were across my chest, and there was something right on me. It felt like I couldn't breathe. It takes a whole lot of mental energy to awake from paralysis too, about a minute for me if I try hard

When I was at school years ago, some guy used to play super mario world 24/7. Then one night he dreamt that king bowser was chasing him so he jumped out his 2nd floor window, he broke both his legs and when he came back to school he got called Super Mario for sometime after. I guess the lack of sleep caused his dream to become extremely realistic, could be similar to what you suffered.

Youre mind fell asleep for a split second. And instantly triggered a panic attack, because it freaked you out. Are you going through some rough times? Playing games for that length of time in addicted nature can cause harm. I would get it checked out, you can never be to careful when it comes to youre health. Also take breaks at least every 2 hours, if you insist on gameing for long periods. Stay active. The body and mind work together. Neglect of either is not good. Cut back on the junk food and empty calories. Hope everythings ok for yah
