I preordered the other day at the announcement. Lots of negative reaction to the way the preorder has been handled by easybuy, but doesn't matter to me. I'm dumb and with enough money to survive a loss if it comes down to being a total rip-off.

So I am guessing the xodus chip is Matrix? How can it be a no wire chip? There was no installation instructions on easybuy...

iim new to the xbox scene so forgive me if i sound stupid but why would you get an openbox if your getting an xodus? aint they both a modchip that do the same thing?

I seriously doubt it will ship with any bios pre-installed. I'm assuming anybody who gets one will have to find/flash their own bios to whatever one they want. It will indeed be able to play backups, but only after you flash it.

how do u flash? You just load a disc w/ some form of bootloader and flash proggie+bios in the Xbox or do you need access to some sort of programmer?

Yes. It will come with a programmer. At least thats what the preorder page states on easybuy.

forgive my ignorance, but what do you guys mean by a wireless mod chip? how does this work if you dont solder anything?

Which chip is the best? (which one will garuntee to play all backups?) -how hard is it to install a chip? I have never soldered anything before, can i do it? is there a place anyone knows of in Toronto that sells premoded xboxes?

I didn't think that they would make the 21-Sep ETA because it was on a Saturday (who likes working on a Saturday!).

Let's just be patient until the 23rd. Let them do it right, not like the people at Bleem! (r.i.p.), who didn't have a clue about the potential customer service needs at launch.

Also, to those people who think this is vaporware because no photos were shown...perhaps they didn't want cloners coming in and stealing the profits from their work. Gotta think about the business side, not just "your rep". Sit back and chill. If it's fake, we'll know soon enough anyways.
