Blade 2 issue

First off I bought the game from EB. For some reason when I put it in, it spins....forever and then says disk read error. I tried all my other PS discs. from PS1 to the PS2 disc, and the PS2 dvd disc. THey all work fine. I bought my PS2 used, and I noticed that the sticker is gone so it may have a mod chip, could this be the problem? If not let me know if any of you have had this problem or know of any way to fix it.

hmm ... the kalisto rip seems to work fine.
