Re: how do i create an iso from a cd?

It all depends on what kind of cd your trying to copy. For Data Cd that have no copy protection (most apps), I use cdrwin which works very well
How to create a bin/cue file using cdrwin.-
1/Insert the CD to be copied in cd-r, open cdrwin, select third button from top left (Extract Disc/Tracks/sectors to Image File).
2/From 'Extract Mode' select 'DiscImage/Cuesheet', select your cd-r drive from 'CD Reader' box. Hit the 'Load' button.
3/Give the image a filename.
4/In 'Reading Options' check 'RAW'
In 'Error Recovery' check 'Abort'
In Jitter Correction' check 'Auto'
In 'Subcode Analysis check 'Auto'
5/Select the Data Speed & Audio Speed
6/ Hit 'START'. After the image file (.bin/.cue) is made you will be notified and it will be stored in the cdrwin program folder.
To make a image file of a copy protected cd (most games) Clone CD works well, though you must have a cd-r capable of reading & writing in RAW mode.
Seriously I could make another longwinded explanation BUT why dont you just hop on over to "VCDHelp.com" where U can find the answer U seek and many-many more also!
I have used Clone-CD no problems, but if you use NERO it will give an installation error. This might have been fixed in the latest version, but the errors were well reported when XP (activated) first came into light.
